Applesauce Spice Stash Loaf

Here’s another “grab it and go” bread loaf, which is easy to make with cinnamon sugar muffin mixes and can be stored in the freezer for emergency use.

 

Ingredient list for Applesauce Spice Stash Loaf:

Two (7.4 oz.) packages Martha White Cinnamon Sugar Muffin Mix

3/4 cup evaporated milk, pop top or have a can opener handy

1 snack size container White House Natural Plus applesauce

½ cup raisins, coated in 1 Tablespoon dry Muffin Mix

Extra light olive oil or cooking spray to coat loaf pan

 

Equipment needed:

8×4 inch loaf pan

Spoon or spatula for stirring

Measuring cup

Mixing bowl

 

 Applesauce Loaf Mixes

 

 
Step by step directions:

1.            Preheat oven to 350 degrees and coat loaf pan with oil or spray.  Combine muffin mixes, applesauce and milk in mixing bowl, stirring until well moistened.   Stir in dusted raisins.  Pour into oiled loaf pan.

 

Mixed in Pan 

 

3.            Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until firm in center.  Cool in pan 10 minutes.  Loosen sides with knife before removing from pan.

Baked Applesauce Loaf

4.            Wrap tightly in foil and slip into 1 gallon freezer bag.  Date bag and store in freezer.
