The AP has an article up today about Sierra Leone’s plans to enact a version of nationwide social distancing in order to try and get a handle on their Ebola outbreak. The whole country of six million people is going to stay home for three days in order to try and stop the spread of the virus. (If you are not familiar with social distancing, check out our downloads section for more information.) It is one of the few things shown to actually work on a large scale, but with Ebola having an incubation period of between two and twenty-one days, keeping everyone home for only three does not seem like enough time for the virus to burn itself out.
